Remove backgrounds from a folder on Mac
Prepare a set of transparent PNGs without opening a separate document for every photo.
Drop the folder into Alpha
Alpha detects foreground subjects locally and shows the results in a grid. Your photos are not uploaded. Object mode is for products, pets and things; Person mode is for people.
Review the edges
Double-click a result to inspect it. Click to choose the objects to keep and use the brush to erase or restore tricky areas. Needs Review filters images where nothing was found or which you edited.
Export the set
Choose Export and a destination folder. Alpha writes new transparent PNGs and keeps your original files. Existing output files are not replaced. Requires macOS 14 or later.
