Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Alpha: Background Remover by Astrum Vitriolum.

Data we collect

Alpha: Background Remover doesn't collect any data. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Your files

The files and photos you open in Alpha: Background Remover are processed on your device. They are not sent to Astrum Vitriolum.

Cutouts are saved only where you choose, as new PNG files. Your original images are never changed.

While a window is open, Alpha keeps temporary files on your Mac: the masks it made, and copies of images pasted or dropped from Photos or a browser. They are removed when you close the window.

Crash reports

If you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports. We use them only to fix problems.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
